Tacky Gorillas Inhale Frenchtoast

Those silly gorillas. Where do they even find bread to make french toast?

Thank you all for your input about whether I should keep my blog or not! It means so much to me to know that all of you want me to continue my blog. Believe me, so do I. From looking back at when I started my blog in November, I can see the progress I've made by using blogging as my outlet for getting over ED feelings, and from all the wonderful advice I've gotten! I think, like a few of you said, that it's difficult for other people to really understand how positively the blogging community has affected me from just my description. So, I'll take other peoples' opinions into consideration, but overall I think this blog has improved my attitude towards food a million times and I want to see it keep getting better! I'll keep updating with this story though.

Okay, eats. Breakfast was kind of boring, just repeats of stuff. But it featured caramelized (microwaved) banana oats,. I added some dark chocolate chips for extra yumminess.

No pic of lunch. My afternoon snack featured a microwaved apple. Fay recommended this to me and I had to try it! It was amazing, just like apple pie filling. I really wanted it with a spoon of PB but I'm out of regular and I don't think it would go with chocolate banana too well.

Dinnah was butternut squash and white bean soup. It was really really good! I used 2 tbs of olive oil instead of 1 tsp. I liked how all of it was creamy except for the white beans. It almost made up for the fact that I kind of sliced my thumb open while chopping the onion. The perfect way to warm up on a chilly night. I think next time I'll just use regular tomatoes instead of "mexican" so I can taste the squash more.
I had it with 1/4 of a Florida grapefruit and a slice of French bread. Mmmmm love grapefruit!

As soon as I saw the post on Katie's blog today about vegan yogurt making, I knew I had to try it. I had a block of silken tofu going bad in the fridge, so I made a double batch! I used 1/2 a banana and 1/4 cup frozen raspberries and didn't even need any sugar. Another success from CCV! I think I like this more than the regular pudding because it doesn't require any stove-top cooking or refrigeration. Yay!

That's all for now, folks. I had to go get my blood drawn tomorrow morning, booo! Then ballet :] Hope you all enjoy your Saturdays!

Oh my gosh, I never knew you could do so much with silken tofu, thanks for sharing Kiki!
And I'm really glad to hear that you will be continuing in the blogging community!

Oh, and microwaving an apple? That I have to try!

Hey girl,
i should really try that microwaved apples! sounds good ;]

As for cinnamon, YES I run out REALLY quick. So I buy like 15 bottles at a time. You know those small ones at WF? I kinda wish they sold bigger ones so that I don't have to buy so many. ><; I bought a big one at Costco but somehow it tastes kinda "off". heehee. Cinnamon and Cayenne are the ones I buy like ALL the time. crazy, right? ;]

oh kiki! I only just read about your post on whether to blog or not...and was getting quite worried that you'd leave because I love your blog so much!
but that aside...selfish old me would insist you continue food-blogging, but should do what is best for you. still, allow me to add my two cents on this: I think food-blogging has helped me tremendously with my ED recovery. like you said, you somtimes eat things you don't really like just so you can have something "blog-worthy" but that can be a GOOD thing! I find myself trying out new stuff and challenging myself for the purpose of my blog, which I otherwise would not have done and have been continuously stuck in my comfort zone, restricting myself to my safe ED bubble!
also, you mentioned about your conversations focusing on ED and food. Well, I don't think we can escape that because this is a HUGE experience in our life. you've been through so much more than your friends and that is probably why some of their more "frivolous" talks might not interest you as much.
I just want to say that you're a huge inspiration, and not only did you get a lot of positive things out of this blogging community, WE have been getting a lot of positive things out of YOU too! this blogging world will suffer a whole lot if you're gone...
so conclusion: please don't leave! (selfish Sophia coming out again)

Awww sweetie you're really trying and I'm so proud of you! What was the gorillsa thing anyways? Was that pudding yummy? I need to buy silken tofu, I have a fresh container of non-hydroginated Tofutti cream cheese in my fridge so I was considering making a cheeze cake (mum's fav.!) but then again, I don't even like cheese cake, even before ED! (I'm such a little kids, vanilla cake with vanilla frosting or carrot cake for me, please!) So I just wanted to acknowlage I <3 the comments you leave for me on my blog, they mean SO much to me! It's been GREAT knowing you through these blogs, I hope you keep yours! Take care, hon! ;) Stay strong, we can out smart ED anytime, any day, it's all up to us! :0

I am SOOOOOO glad you decided to keep the blog! I idn't chime in with my opinion on your last post because I thought it was your decision and I wanted you to do what was best for you (and I was biased and wanted you to keep it, but for my own selfish reasons-- so I could keep hearing from you!).

Anyway, I'm soooooooooo excited you liked the pudding/yogurt!!! You are too sweet for words!
